Eastman Auto & Power Appoints Tilak Kapoor as President Human Resources

Eastman Auto & Power Limited has appointed Tilak Kapoor, a seasoned HR leader as its new President – Human Resources, marking a strategic move to further strengthen its people, culture, and leadership practices amid industry transformation.

 

With over two decades of cross-sector experience, Tilak Kapoor has deep expertise in human capital strategy, organizational development, change management, and industrial relations. In his new role, he will lead the company’s HR function, drive strategic workforce initiatives, and support Eastman’s commitment to building a resilient and inclusive workplace.

 

Prior to joining Eastman Auto & Power, he held the position of Head HR, Confectionery SBU at DS Group, where he oversaw HR and IR strategy across three business units—managing a workforce of 1,300 employees and leading a 20+ member HR team. His tenure was marked by impactful interventions in business-aligned HR strategy, talent development, and leadership support across FMCG operations.

 

His earlier career includes transformative roles at:

  • Luminous Power Technologies, where as General Manager – HR, he led major initiatives in digitization, high-performance culture, HRIS (SAP) deployment, and employer branding.
  • Moser Baer India Ltd, where he served as Senior Manager – HR, contributing to talent retention, performance strategy, and leadership development programs.
  • Nicholas Piramal / Roche Products, managing greenfield HR systems, IR practices, and workforce engagement.
  • DCM Chemical, where he played a foundational role in setting up core HR operations and managing long-term industrial relations.

 

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing and HR from Punjabi University and has pursued executive programs from IIM Calcutta & Tata Institute of Social Sciences
