Procter and Gamble India launches a new People Policy to assist employees seeking infertility treatment.
P&G India, a subsidiary of Procter and Gamble, the maker of well-known products such as Vicks, Ariel, Gillette, and Pampers, has launched a ‘infertility treatment’ policy to assist its employees and their partners in achieving inclusive family planning.
P&G India will pay the costs of infertility treatments such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF) under this insurance. The policy is intended to accommodate employees with a variety of gender identities, sexual orientations, and family configurations, in keeping with the company’s goal to creating an equal and inclusive workplace.
P&G India understands that infertility treatments can be difficult for individuals and couples, and that this can have an impact on employees’ well-being. The organization intends to help its employees’ family-planning ambitions and overall well-being by giving access to infertility treatments. The coverage covers both in-patient (IPD) and out-patient (OPD) expenses paid by employees and their partners for infertility treatments.
P&G India has a history of instituting rules that promote employee equity, inclusivity, and flexibility.
P&G India’s ‘Share The Care‘ initiative provides eight weeks of fully paid parental leave to all new parents, regardless of whether they are biological parents, adoptive parents, domestic partners, or parents in same-sex couples.
Furthermore, the ‘Lead With Care’ programme offers comprehensive carer support for children with disabilities and special needs, including extended annual medical coverage, specialized day-care support, and a 24X7 employee assistance programme (EAP). P&G India also provides benefits to partners of LGBTQ+ employees, including medical and workplace perks.
