Maruti Suzuki India appoints Satish Mohapatra as Head Central HR
Maruti Suzuki India Limited, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has appointed Satish Mohapatra as Head of Central HR. He has been designated as Vice President in the company and based out of New Delhi.
Satish Mohapatra confirmed the appointment on LinkedIn, stating, “My initial focus and priorities would be to study the existing culture of India’s No. 1 passenger car company, with a rich legacy of 40 years and a dominant market share of more than 40 percent, and bring in a new age, progressive people practises that would help MSIL attract and retain millennial tech talent.”

In a truly global setting, he has expanded his career throughout all HR verticals, including HR strategy, business partnerships, talent acquisition, talent management, HR M&A, HR shared services, industrial relations, strategic workforce planning, global mobility management, and compensation & benefits.
Satish previously worked for Siemens as Vice President and Head of People and Organisation (HR) for ‘Smart Infrastructure’ in South Asia. Between 2019 to 2023, he served as Senior HRBP and Head of People and Organisation for Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure Operating Company in South Asia.
Satish has formerly worked for companies such as Atos, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, and TATA Communications Ltd. (fka VSNL).
He masters from Utkal University with an MA-PMIR in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations and an LLB in Law.
