Renault to boost employee confidence with 'Renaulution Campaign’ This year marks the third edition of the share ownership plan, emphasizing the importance of value sharing among all contributors to the company’s success
Renault’s latest employee share ownership drive, known as the Renaulution Shareplan, ran from September 18 to October 2, 2024. Under the program, qualified employees in 30 countries received seven free shares. Furthermore, employees in 24 countries were given the opportunity to purchase additional shares on favorable conditions.
The program builds on Renault’s longtime reputation as a’social laboratory’. It tries to get employees involved in the company’s change. This year marks the third edition of the share ownership plan, which emphasizes the importance of value sharing among all stakeholders in the company’s performance. By the end of the campaign, employees are anticipated to own 5.74 percent of Renault SA’s capital, demonstrating their confidence in the company’s plan.
The 2024 Renaulution Shareplan provided for the free distribution of roughly 8,17,600 shares, or 0.28 percent of Renault SA’s capital, to employees. Participation was high, with over 46,000 employees—or around 43% of those eligible—taking advantage of the subscription offer. Employees invested a total of €31.1 million, with an average of €679 per participant, resulting in more than 1,063,000 subscribed shares, or 0.36 percent of the company’s capital.
Finally, the 2024 Renaulution Shareplan will enable the transfer of approximately 1,881,000 shares to employees, representing 0.64 percent of Renault SA’s capital. This considerable allocation moves the Group closer to its aim of establishing a 10% employee shareholding, thereby strengthening employee involvement in the company’s future growth and success.
