The Talent500 ANSR survey stated that almost 70% of women in technology believe that the diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives implemented by the IT sector are marketing initiatives.

 

Approximately 90% of the 3,000 women who took part in the survey—all of whom worked in the information technology (IT) sector—said that their firms were not taking any proactive steps to meet the needs of gender diversity. It was a result of ingrained prejudices and obstacles that women encounter in many spheres of life, including employment, retention, inclusion, and progress.

 

Roughly 45% of those surveyed claimed that hiring panels with little diversity were directly to blame for the issue.

 

Companies should be held responsible for fair employment procedures, according to as many as 60% of respondents with five to ten years of experience.

 

A working woman’s office life was discriminated against in several areas due to the lack of a mixed panel, such as leadership chances, payroll, and promotions.

 

According to the survey, thirty percent of women reported experiencing salary inequality, and sixty percent said they felt excluded from decision-making processes.

 

Roughly 75% of the female candidates for leadership positions stated that companies were focusing on unilateral viewpoints.

 

According to the survey, only 20% of respondents believe that women are represented in senior roles.

 

Thirty percent of participants indicated that their technical skills were not given the same respect as those of their male peers, highlighting the gender gap.

 

Forty-two percent more indicated they had to put in more effort to establish their worth.
