Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato, announced the appointment of Anmol Gupta as the company’s first Chief Fitness Officer on July 31. He twitted, “At @zomato, we’ve always promoted the importance of physical and mental wellbeing for our employees,” said Zomato CEO, in a Twitter post.
“We are pleased to announce a paradigm shift in the composition of our senior team.” Deepinder said, “A new type of CFO – Chief Fitness Officer.”
As Chief Fitness Officer, Anmol Gupta has joined us. The company is excited to collaborate with him to change the way people think about work.
In the future, he will make significant investments in the well-being of his staff, delivery partners, and restaurant partners.

Chief Fitness Officer Role & Responsibilities?
- The Chief Fitness Officer will collaborate closely with all Zomans on their unique wellness and healthy living journeys. The new CFO will collaborate with an in-house wellness team comprised of trainers, nutritionists, and well-being counselors.
- The trainers will assist with weight and strength training, yoga, boxing, and other activities, catering to both beginners and experts.
- Zomans’ macro and micronutrient intake will be tracked using tailored meal plans devised by nutritionists. A good diet is thought to be 80% of the work in one’s fitness quest.
