Go Nimbly Implemented Compulsory Annual Leave Plan for Employees
Go Nimbly, a US-based Rev-Ops start-up, sets a mandated 20-day leave policy for all employees per year to meet employees’ demand for a more flexible leave plan.
This effort was launched at Go Nimbly to assist employees in performing successfully at their occupations. The policy requires them to take leave anytime they need it.
The start-up designed to leave plan by specifying the number of days employees must take off each year. It has also modified incentive plans to support the new policy, so that employees may still meet their goals even if they take a week off per quarter or more.
The start-up has also put in place a mechanism to monitor and identify employees who do not take adequate time off.
Kyle Lacy, Go Nimbly’s director of people operations, said he slept well at night since the new policy was well implemented, giving him peace of mind. He also underlined the significance of sleep hygiene, or obtaining enough sleep to stay healthy and perform well in daily life.
Employees began to use their time off more frequently as a result of the new policy. Employees took 19 percent more days off in the third quarter of 2023 than in the previous quarter.
This suggests that the new policy was successful in encouraging employees to take the time off to which they were entitled.
