The HCL Tech-Career Transformation Opportunity Apprenticeship Program allows employees to pursue university-level STEM programs in Canada.
HCLTech, a worldwide technology leader, has collaborated with Athabasca University, Canada’s Open University, to provide eligible employees with the career transformation opportunity to complete a university-level STEM program while working for HCL Tech in Canada.
Employees of HCLTech will be able to enroll in Athabasca University’s Bachelor of Science, Computing, and Information Systems program as a result of the collaboration, which will help them transform their careers.
The benefit will be available to employees who have completed the company’s Tech Career Transformation Apprenticeship Program. Employees will be eligible for tuition benefit coverage based on their academic performance.
“We are excited to partner with Athabasca University to strengthen our apprenticeship program, which is unique in the Canadian tech space,” says Joelien Jose, HCLTech’s Executive Vice President and Country Head, Canada.
“This program demonstrates our dedication to our employee value proposition: Find Your Spark.” Employees from a variety of backgrounds can now benefit from the apprenticeship program, which allows them to learn while working and acquire a higher education degree,” Joelien Jose added.
“Athabasca University is pleased to be able to assist major international organizations such as HCLTech in meeting their employees’ continuing education needs by providing a flexible online learning environment,” said Dr. Alex Clark, President of Athabasca University.
