Jio-bp Appoints Sareeta Bhatikar as Chief Human Resources Officer to Steer Next Phase of Growth

Jio-bp has appointed Sareeta Bhatikar as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), reinforcing its leadership team as the company accelerates its next phase of growth and transformation in India’s evolving mobility landscape.

In her new role, Bhatikar will lead the human resources function with a mandate to strengthen organisational capability, enhance talent frameworks, and align people strategy with Jio-bp’s broader business objectives. Her appointment comes at a time when the company is expanding its footprint across conventional and alternative energy solutions, electric mobility, and customer-centric mobility services.

Bhatikar brings more than two decades of experience in shaping people strategies, driving large-scale transformation programmes, and managing cultural integration across complex organisations. She joins Jio-bp from HDFC Life, where she served as Head of Human Resources. During her six-year tenure, she oversaw HR strategy for a workforce of over 40,000 employees and played a key role in leading the people integration agenda during the merger with Exide Life.

Announcing her transition, Bhatikar described her time at HDFC Life as professionally enriching and expressed enthusiasm about joining Jio-bp at a pivotal stage in its journey. She highlighted the company’s ambition to reimagine mobility in India—spanning traditional and future-ready fuels, electric mobility solutions, aviation fuels, doorstep delivery services, and differentiated customer-first offerings—as a key driver behind her decision.

Earlier in her career, Bhatikar held senior HR leadership roles at Cipla, Vodafone, A.P. Moller–Maersk, Unilever, and Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI). Across these organisations, she led initiatives in talent management, HR transformation, employee relations, and change management.

Academically, Bhatikar holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources from the Welingkar Institute of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from R.A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics. She is a qualified cost accountant from ICWAI, holds an LLB from VPM Thane College, and has completed a postgraduate diploma in comparative methodology from the University of Mumbai.

With this appointment, Jio-bp signals a continued focus on building a future-ready workforce to support its ambitions in reshaping India’s mobility ecosystem. For further insights into the evolving workplace paradigm, visit
