The Multidimensional Social Security Scheme got it’s new domain as esic.gov.in

One of the main statutory social security bodies under the ministry of labour and employment of the government of India, the Employee State Insurance Corporation, got its new independent domain name.

The online security security platform, providing various social security and medical benefits to private sector employee, has changed it website domain, ‘esic.nic.in‘ to ‘esic.gov.in.

Now onwards, the ESIC subscribers can access all the information relating to ESI scheme and avail online benefits by visiting to official website of ESIC, i.e. esic.gov.in.

The Employees State Insurance Corporation was established on February 24, 1952 to extend the health insurance scheme to the industrial workers, under Employee State Insurance Act, 1948.

The ESIC envisages multidimensional health insurance benefits to the subscribers.

  2. Sickness Benefit
  3. Maternity Benefit
  4. Disablement Benefit
  5. Dependents benefit
  6. Funeral Benefit

For all employees’ earning Rs. 21000/ or less per month as wages, the employer contributes 3.25% and employee contributes 0.75% in the total share of 4%. This fund managed by the ESI Corporation and oversee the provisions of medical and cash benefits to subscribers and their family.
