Of the top employee concerns for 2024, 46% are afraid of losing their job, and 53% are against working 70 hours a week.
It’s clear from AmbitionBox’s survey this year that 81% of participants were happy with the hybrid/remote work paradigm. Remarkably, 52% of workers want it to last until 2024, demonstrating a strong opposition to going back to the traditional 5- or 6-day work weeks. Furthermore, a startling 30% stated that they would only want to work remotely.
This tendency indicates a significant change in priorities, since 45% of participants expect a better work-life balance in the next year. The majority (53%) argue that 40–60 hours a week is the ideal amount for both productivity and well-being, and they are against a 70-hour work week.
Furthermore, in regard to their employer’s stability into 2024, 70% of respondents expressed confidence, citing things like sound financial standing, steady leadership, and a promising organizational future. Interestingly, this stands in sharp contrast to 46% of respondents’ worries about their job security in the upcoming year.

Responses from almost 3,400 employees, 75% of whom were men, made up the survey’s sample. Of the respondents, 71% were under 35, and 42% were between the ages of 25 and 34. Out of all the industries, 20% of respondents were from the IT services sector.
