Rakesh Mehta Joined Uno Minda as CHRO
Rakesh Mehta is an alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, & Symbiosis Law School, Pune
After working for JSW Energy for two years as executive vice president and head of HR, Rakesh Mehta moved to Uno Minda as CHRO.
Uno Minda Limited, an Indian International Grid of Automobile Components Manufacturing Company, appointed Rakesh Mehta as CHRO with effect from April 12, 2024.
In his new position, he will be responsible for personnel management, workforce optimization, and cultivating a growth-oriented culture.
Rakesh has worked in the HR field for more than thirty years. He was Executive Vice President & Head of HR at JSW Energy Ltd. before joining Uno Minda Limited.
He has a great deal of expertise in developing HR frameworks and strategies for big businesses. Skilled in managing employee relations, cultural shifts, and mergers and acquisitions, he is also a master at creating efficient personnel policies, pay plans, and benefit packages.
His extensive knowledge base and keen business sense make him a priceless asset who can propel company performance through smart HRM initiatives.
Mehta joined Rallis India at the start of his career in 1993. There, he worked for more than two years, first as an executive in HR and later as an assistant manager in HR, both out of Anklesvar, Gujarat.
He began working as a personnel executive for Crompton Greaves in 1995 and was based in Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh, for just over four years.
He started working as an executive in HR at Guardian Industries in 1999. After four years in this capacity, he moved to Asian Paints. He was assuming the post of manager-HR there at first, and subsequently senior manager-HR.
In 2007, he moved on to General Motors, where he took on the role of general manager, HR. By 2015, after two years in this capacity, he was elevated to the post of director of human resources, a job he held for five years and seven months.
Mehta worked for Reliance Industries as head of HR (refining business cluster) and senior vice president from October 2015 until December 2018. In this capacity, he was based in Jamnagar.
He moved to Mumbai in December 2018 to take a position as EVP and head of HR at JSW Energy.
His coworkers view him as a very dependable and trustworthy boss who has the respect of his staff. With his most recent work at Uno Minda, a company that makes auto parts, his honesty and candor will be a benefit.
