Sacked Employee Shoots Former Boss at Office in Noida
The incident took place on Wednesday, when an ex-employee, Anup Singh, shot his former boss, Sadrul Islam, in the office at Phase-1, Sector-2 Noida. The incident was executed at NSB BPO in Noida. The condition of the manager is critical, and he has been admitted to the hospital.
According to media reports, Anup Singh, who shot his former manager in Noida, was sacked from the BPO six months ago.
Anoop Singh was working as a data entry operator in NSB BPO under Phase 1 in Noida Sector 2, where he was sacked in April 2022. The injured employee, Sadrul Islam, is the circle head of the company.
Sushil Kumar Ganga Prasad, the assistant commissioner of police (ACP) for Noida Zone 2, confirmed the incident and told the news agency that the suspect, Anup Singh, was a resident of east Delhi.
On the gunshot incident, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashutosh Dwivedi said, “The police were informed about a shooting at an office in Sector 2.” “The victim, named Islam, sustained severe injuries to his chest and was rushed to Kailash Hospital, where his condition remains critical.”
The ADC, Ashutosh, further added, “Anup Singh was sacked because of his bad behavior.” However, he used to visit the office frequently. Prima facie, it appears that he was upset and wanted to take revenge with Islam.
“The accused fled from the spot.” “An FIR has been registered against him at the Phase-1 police station under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC,” the additional DCP said.
As per the CCTV footage, Anup entered Islam’s cabin and came out. He can be seen entering the cabin again and opening fire at the circle head. He is currently untraceable and is on a run.
