Saraf Furniture announces 4 Day Work- Week policy as Pilot Project
Saraf Furniture, India’s largest solid wood furniture company based in Rajasthan, has announced a new four-day work-week policy. Saraf Furniture is the first in Rajasthan and the Indian furniture industry to implement a four-day work-week policy.
The Company’s objective with the initiative is to promote healthy work-life balance for its employees. Employees will be required to complete their work hours in 4 days and have an extended weekend of 3 days following this new policy. According to the company, employees are really thrilled and are welcoming the decision deeply. This initiative will be run for Customer care, Tech and Project Management team for the first 3 months. As a pilot project, if successful, the policy will be implemented throughout the organization.
From Sardarshahar, a small town in Rajasthan, Saraf Furniture, an Indian manufacturer of solid wood furniture, began operations. Their whole operation is run near the town to provide employment opportunities to the locals.
While commenting on the announcement, Saraf Furniture’s CEO says that he is extremely happy and delighted to present this news for everyone.
