Tata Chemicals, a division of the over US$ 110 billion Tata Group, has selected Rahul Pinjarkar as its new chief human resources officer, effective June 1. He will succeed R Nanda, the current chief human resources officer.

Tata Chemicals has finally announced the replacement for R Nanda, the company’s former top human resources officer who just retired.
Tata Chemicals, a division of the over US$ 110 billion Tata Group, has selected Rahul Pinjarkar as its new chief human resources officer, effective June 1. He will succeed R Nanda, the current chief human resources officer.
Rahul joins the Tata Group after formerly leading the human resources division at Trent Hypermarkets Ltd. He will be stationed in Mumbai.
He has succeeded R Nanda, who will remain with the Tata Group in an advisory capacity to help with the transition. He worked for the Tata Group for about 17 years.
Rahul comes with over 24 years of professional experience in a variety of sectors with varying goals, temperaments, approaches, and policies. He has led the HR Function by building a meritocracy culture, improving HR functional delivery, fostering healthy industrial and employee relations, and managing the transformation process.
Rahul’s area of experience is in developing a competitive advantage via people and transforming a firm into an employer of choice.
Prior to joining Tata Chemicals, he worked as the Director of Human Resources for Trent Hypermarket Pvt Ltd (STAR). He was a member of the organisation for about 5 years.
Previously, he worked at Saint-Gobain, Novartis India, ICICI Prudential AMC Ltd, Philips Lighting, and Wockhardt Ltd.
He graduated from the Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies in Mumbai with an MLS in Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour and completed his Bachelor of Science from the Institute of Science, Nagpur.
