Upwork appointed Sunita Solao as Chief People Officer
The largest work marketplace in the world, Upwork, announced that Sunita Solao would join the organisation as chief people officer (CPO) on May 1, 2023.
As a human resources and people executive with more than two decades of experience working across the globe, Sunita has led teams, enabled business growth, and scaled organization at digitally native brands like Convoy, Airbnb, and eBay.

Solao previously held several HR and people leadership positions at eBay and Airbnb, including head of people for Airbnb’s Homes Business division. Solao reported to the CEO of Convoy as vice president of the people function.
Sunita has a Master’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Symbiosis International University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She graduated from BITS Pilani with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree.
