Mukesh Ambani talks on ‘data, AI’, ‘and the dream to become ‘world’s Top 10 Company’
The Asia’s richest businessman, Mukesh Ambani, emphasized the need for Reliance Industries to expedite the AI transformation of all of its businesses by 2024 in an annual address to his employees on Thursday.
“We must lead the way in leveraging data, and AI can help us achieve a significant increase in efficiency and productivity,” he stated.
He said that by using artificial intelligence, the business will be able to address India’s national concerns in the areas of employment creation, healthcare, education, and agriculture.
The statement from Mukesh Ambani was made the day after his son Akash Ambani revealed that Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. and the Indian Institute of Technology are collaborating to introduce “Bharat GPT,” a sizable language model that will be customized to meet the requirements of Indian customers.
In addition to its conventional oil and gas operations, Reliance has grown into a major player in the digital space. It owns JIO, one of the biggest internet and telecom companies in India. It is widely used in e-commerce as well.
Dhirubhai Ambani, the father of Mukesh Ambani, founded Reliance in 1957. Reliance is one of the largest companies in the world, valued at $200 billion on the market.
Today, Mukesh Ambani declared his intention for Reliance to rank among the top ten global conglomerates. In addition, he cautioned his staff not to become complacent.
Adani Group, a competitor of Reliance, announced on Thursday that it has established a joint venture with an International Holding Co. (IHC) entity located in Abu Dhabi to implement blockchain, AI, and Internet of Things (IoT) goods.
The domestic and international business environments of today are rapidly evolving. There’s just no place for laziness. Reliance has never been content in the past, and it will never be content going forward, the speaker declared.
“Reliance can and Reliance will grow to be among the top 10 business conglomerates of the world,” he said.
