Rajasthan Govt Approves Minimum Wages Revision by 26 rupees per day
While the Rajasthan government Approves Minimum Wages, It is worth noting that the most recent rise in the minimum wage was introduced on July 1, 2021, at the rate of 7 rupees per day. According to an official statement, the state administration is constantly taking vital initiatives to offer workers economic and social support.

To appease the labour class in the election, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved an increase in the minimum salary for laborers of Rs 26 per day. This hike, which would take effect on January 1, 2023, comes just a few months before the state elections.
After the approval, an unskilled worker will receive Rs 285 per day (Rs 8,550 per month) instead of Rs 259, a semi-skilled worker will receive Rs 297 per day (Rs 8,910 per month) instead of Rs 271, a skilled worker will receive Rs 309 per day (Rs 9,270 per month) instead of Rs 283 and a highly skilled worker will receive Rs 359 per day (Rs 10,770 per month) instead of Rs 333.

In another move, registered insured employees and their dependent families covered by Rajasthan’s Employees State Insurance (ESI) Scheme will be eligible for Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana under the ESI category.
This scheme provides free health insurance coverage of up to Rs 25 lakh to approximately 1.44 crore families. According to an official statement, the chief minister has approved the inclusion of insured employees and their dependent families registered under the Employees’ State Insurance Scheme (ESI) in the Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana under the ESI category, thereby broadening the scheme’s scope of beneficiaries.
This scheme will provide free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh to a total of 51.85 lakh people, including 13.36 lakh employees and their 38.39 million family members, who are currently registered under ESI.
The Rajasthan government has also approved a budget of Rs 11.16 crore for Human Resources to support the Registration and Stamp Department’s e-registration program.
The chief minister has also approved an additional budget provision of Rs 5 crore for the project’s computerization and related communication expenses in fiscal year 2023-24.
With this approval, the work of the Registration and Stamp Department will be moved online, allowing the average person to register property more quickly.
