Tech Mahindra confirmed leadership reshuffle for 2024 as Harshvendra Soin takes Asia Pacific Control and Richard Lobo takes charges as CHRO
Tech Mahindra is implementing significant leadership shifts in order to support its human capital strategy and drive development. President of the Asia Pacific and Japan business, Harshvendra Soin, will step down in January 2024, and Richard Lobo will take over as chief human resources officer (CHRO).
Driven by a wealth of experience in both APAC and IMEA, Soin assumes the role of leader of several business units and growth engine for the area. His seven-year tenure as Canada’s enterprise business’s senior vice president and country head, during which he turned a financially troubled company into a thriving corporation, demonstrates his strategic and leadership abilities.
His previous positions as Head of HR and Global Chief People Officer at well-known companies like Punwire, East India Hotels, and Bharti Enterprises further highlight his adaptability and proficiency in human resource management. With this diverse background, he is well-positioned to successfully negotiate the rapidly changing APAC and Japanese markets.
Lobo, a well-known personality in the HR field, joins Infosys, the leader in the sector, with more than 20 years of expertise. His broad experience, which includes a previous position as an advisor at the edtech platform Byju’s, has given him invaluable insights into the changing HR scene and the difficulties associated with growing businesses.
His appointment is a proof of Tech Mahindra’s dedication to developing its human capital and using talent wisely in order to meet its strategic goals. It is anticipated that Lobo’s knowledge and connections will be extremely helpful in luring and keeping top personnel, developing a high-performance culture, and increasing employee engagement.
The strategic intention of Tech Mahindra to strengthen its position in the Asia Pacific and Japan regions while also investing in its people capital to propel future success is reflected in this leadership change. The combination of Lobo’s industry knowledge and Soin’s track record of success puts the company in a strong position to take advantage of these markets’ enormous potential.
