Veolia launches ‘Veolia Cares’ comprehensive employee benefits program globally
"Veolia Cares” is therefore fully consistent with the Group's social commitment to ensure the professional and personal well-being of its employees.
Veolia launches ‘Veolia Cares’ comprehensive employee benefits program globally, helping 213,000 employees of the group.
Veolia, the world’s top ESG firm for addressing environmental concerns, decarbonization, economics, resource regeneration, and de-pollution, introduces a comprehensive employee benefits program called “Veolia Cares” on a global scale.
In order to address the unique requirements of cities, businesses, and industries around the world including in India, Veolia provides a comprehensive array of water and waste solutions.
The new “Veolia Cares” program intends to provide the 213,000 Group employees with a basic degree of social protection, even in nations without such legislative requirements.
It provides each Group employee with access to parental leave, health and death insurance, help for carers, and the chance to donate one day per year to a charitable organization or an environmental protection project. It is unprecedented in terms of its scope and scale.
Veolia runs its business using a “multifaceted performance” strategy in which economic, environmental, commercial, social, and societal challenges are given equal weight. Veolia is a global leader in ecological transformation and a benchmark ESG company.
Therefore, “Veolia Cares” is completely in line with the Group’s social commitment to ensuring the professional and personal well-being of its employees.
All Veolia staff members, whether they work in the office or on the field, and regardless of whether they have a long-term or short-term contract, have access to “Veolia Cares”.
A corporation with a big number of field employees, who make up the basis of the environmental business, implementing such an endeavor is unprecedented. It ensures that all workers gain access to a shared base of social protection and aids in overcoming geographical differences in social protection.
Veolia’s Chief Executive Officer, Estelle Brachlianoff, stated: “At Veolia, we are convinced that our workers’ dedication depends greatly on their professional and personal well-being. They are responsible for the performance and growth of the Group.
“Due to this, we have begun this ground-breaking program for our 213,000 employees across 5 continents. The difficulties of ecological transition will only increase over the upcoming years, but we will be able to confront them because of the fortitude, unity, and inclusivity of our collective. Added was Estelle Brachlianoff.
With an employee participation rate of 89% and an ownership policy that made employees Veolia’s largest shareholders in January 2023, “Veolia Cares” adds to the company’s previous social performance successes.
