Wipro to offer extra 30 days remote work facility: Read HR head's email to employees

Wipro recently implemented a redesigned hybrid work strategy aimed at increasing flexibility while maintaining productivity and collaboration. Employees must now work three days a week from the office under the new arrangement. In an email to staff, Saurabh Govil, chief human resources officer, stated that the company’s new hybrid work policy demonstrates its dedication to employee well-being while preserving a high-performance culture.

The policy is based on Wipro’s core values of cooperation, flexibility, inclusion, and trust, ensuring that it fulfills the different needs of its workforce while keeping up with the changing demands of the business. Employees can now request up to 30 days of remote work each year for personal health reasons or to care for family members. Employees must seek management clearance before using this benefit.

The policy went into effect on October 1, 2024. Wipro’s hybrid work strategy revolves around collaboration. The company strongly believes that in-person encounters promote creativity and success. Wipro’s requirement for employees to spend three days in the office per week attempts to foster meaningful collaboration, allowing teams to work more effectively together.

These in-office days are not set; the corporation gives employees the freedom to choose the days that best meet their collaboration needs. Wipro’s policy illustrates its tolerance and attention to unique needs. By allowing employees to work remotely for caregiving or personal health reasons, the organization acknowledges that life’s unpredictability frequently need additional assistance.

This accommodation allows individuals to negotiate difficult personal issues while remaining productive and engaged in their professional jobs. This new approach is part of Wipro’s larger endeavor to foster a progressive and inclusive working climate that balances employee well-being with the needs of a changing business landscape.

  • Flexibility: We empower to our associates to balance their professional and personal needs as they manage work – life integration.
  • Sensitive to & Inclusive of Special Needs: Life’s unpredictability may need additional support. We commit to accommodate special needs of our associates, as they tide over moments that matter or require reasonable accommodation.
  • Trust: We trust our associates to do their best work, as they hold themselves accountable.

Our hybrid work arrangement is contemporary and best in class. We expect associates to work from the office premises three days a week, choosing these days based on their need to collaborate. Our approach also has the option for associates to seek remote working for specified days in a year, to care for self or as they nurse loved ones back to health.
